This phrase makes perfect sense for most projects, cinematic or not, unless you’re one of those valuable levelheaded masochists who love the “process.” Otherwise, we spend a lot of our productive lives in DEVELOPMENT HELL (this is the cause of many WORKING VACATIONS, when you think about it). Technically, this term describes a peculiar purgatory where movies and video games land when they haven’t been canceled but enthusiasm for their completion seems insufficient to actually do the work. I think “Bill and Ted 3” is an example of this, but I predict here that this will be an awesome movie!
