These clues fall short of being identical, but I’d still call them twins because they use essentially the same language to hint at different things. What’s more, they both end in question marks that indicate wordplay. And while they aren’t exactly puns, they do play on the notion of a plain old breadbox. The [Bread box?] at 44D is a TOASTER — a box of a different kind. And at 54A, [Bread box, for short?] twists both terms in the clue: The answer is A.T.M., because bread is money. (Should we start saying this instead of “time is money?” I do value bread very highly.)
