Solution: New students at Princeton or Yale in 1969 - NYT Crossword

I suppose not all of us think, “1969 — that was so recent!” but that is the year the first COEDS, meaning womenfolk, walked the hallowed campuses of Yale and Princeton as academic equals. At Yale the atmosphere was sometimes strained, though, as when the female student pioneers proceeded to get better grades than their male counterparts, some of whom apparently found this threatening. (Reading that Times article really made me wish we had videos on the website back in 1973. I would have watched some interviews with trailblazing alumnae.)
