Solution: Heavily populated urban complex - NYT Crossword

This term is new to the puzzle, and has to do with a subject that always catches my interest: humanity’s concentration on the Earth and the contrast between rural and urban. New York City, where I’ve spent at least 90 percent of my life, is right in the middle of “Boswash,” the Eastern Seaboard MEGALOPOLIS, with around 56 million inhabitants as of 2019. I once had the opportunity to spend some time in Utah, where it was common to drive several hours to see a movie in a theater or do some shopping (this was in the 1990s, before e-commerce and streaming), and I feel as if urban and rural lifestyles are so incredibly different. It will be interesting to see if those differences increase or diminish in the future because of technology.
