Solution: Variable in the Schrödinger equation - NYT Crossword

I think I solved this [Variable in the Schrödinger equation] with no trouble because I thought that the answer, TIME, had to do with how long we’d have to wait to see whether Schrödinger’s cat was alive or dead. Ha ha, silly Deb. In the time-dependent version of Schrödinger’s equation, it’s function is to (checks PhysicsForIdiots.com, which explains the concept using no less than 23 formulas) determine the wave activity of a particle. It’s actually a lot more complex than that, but unfortunately my brain exploded at that point, so my research stopped.
