Solution: Like an adjustable drinking straw - NYT Crossword

I cannot tell you how happy I am to see the word BENDY in a crossword puzzle. When my children were little, we tended to use words that were more descriptive than appropriate, such as “I’d like a BENDY straw with my juice, please.” At one point, I bought my kids a swing set for the backyard, and when the sales rep asked me what kind of seats I wanted for the swings, I couldn’t think of the exact name for them, so I told her I wanted the BENDY kind. There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone line, and then she asked, “You mean flexible?”
