Solution: Like some letters and lines - NYT Crossword

I got really close here — “some letters” could be “sorted” or “jotted,” and I managed to convince myself that “jotted” worked with “lines” as well. As far as the cross, “Selling points,” I didn’t get it, even with all the letters in place. MARTS are points of purchase, places where someone sells things, of course. (Of course! After mulling this over for what feels like days.) As far as that first letter, yes, there is such a thing as a “J cup,” but the perfect fit here is DOTTED. Make sure to dot your i’s and cross your t’s when you sign on the dotted line. (Thanks to Rex Parker we have “Natick,” a term for when two obscure proper nouns intersect. What can I call the crossing of two puns that are too slick for me to figure out? I’m open to suggestions.)
